2.1 Storage fee
Storage fees are charged on a daily basis starting from the time the products enter Jumia’s overseas warehouse. For the charging standards of different category trees, please see here. Currently, storage fees apply to all sellers engaged in overseas warehouse business.
Note: When creating products, please check the relevant fees according to different sites.
2.2 Successful delivery and outbound fee
Starting from January 15, 2026, Jumia will charge the successful delivery and outbound fee in accordance with the standards here on all sites. This fee applies to the commodities in the seller center backend of each overseas warehouse seller that show a status jump to “Delivered” (Note: If the commodity status is “Returned” or “Delivery Failed”, this fee will not be incurred).
Inquiry method: When uploading products through VC

3. VAT Description
To help sellers better control costs and operate in compliance with regulations, the following explanation is provided regarding Value Added Tax (VAT) items related to overseas warehouse operations:
3.1 Sales VAT
- Withholding Policy: As of July 1, 2024, Jumia has ceased withholding and paying sales VAT on behalf of sellers. Please refer to the announcement for details.
- Pricing Recommendations: Given that the platform no longer mandates withholding, this item is no longer a fixed mandatory option in the product pricing formula. Sellers can decide whether to include this portion in the product price based on their own third-party payment tools, payment compliance solutions, and overall cost structure to maintain market competitiveness.
3.2 Value Added Services Tax (VAT on Value Added Services)
- Scope of Application: Only applies to platform-paid value-added services that sellers choose to use.
- Deduction Logic: Collected only by the local country when related service fees are incurred. This tax is considered a marketing/operating cost, and sellers are advised to treat it as a routine operating expense, not a basic product pricing cost.
Value-added services are as follows:
- Value-added service to increase product exposure (Mabaya) – Sponsored Products
- Value-added service for marketing promotion – All Other Marketing ContributionsJumia Mall
- Professional value-added service – Jumia Mall Subscriptions
- Value-added services such as product content translation or optimization- Content VAS Translation & Optimization
- Value-added service for setting up product coupons – Seller Funded Vouchers
- Free last-mile delivery fee activities – Free Shipping Campaigns
VAT in the order is displayed as:

| Site | VAT rates |
| Nigeria | 7.50% |
| Egypt | 14% |
| Kenya | 16% |
| Côte d’Ivoire | 18% |

Note: Changes in VAT rates are subject to the policy regulations of each country.
4. Explanation of pricing examples for overseas warehouse products
Take the pricing of mobile phone-related overseas warehouse products on the Nigeria site as an example.
If a Bluetooth headphone product on the Nigeria site is a small item, with a cost and profit of $10, and the shipping cost for the seller to send it to Africa via a third-party logistics provider is $1, and the item is successfully shipped out of the overseas warehouse and delivered after 10 days of storage, then the pricing calculation logic for this product is as follows:
| Country | Cost + profit | Freight Fee | Storage fee | Outbound fee of successful delivery | RR | Commission | Marketplace price |
| Nigeria | 10USD | 1USD | 0.002030*10 | 0.4 | 2.80% | 20% | 14.68 USD |
Selling price XUSD = (Cost + Profit + Freight + Storage fee + Successful delivery and outbound fee) * (1 + Return rate) / (1 – Commission rate)
=(10+1+0.002030*10+0.4)*(1+2.8%)/(1-20%)=14.68 USD
Please download the FBJ pricing calculator for calculation.
