JUMIA Inactive Product Cleanup Program
To further enhance platform product quality and customer experience, Jumia will implement a monthly product cleanup program starting in March 2026. We will periodically remove long-term inactive products via the Vendor Center to optimize our product catalog and provide better exposure for high-quality items.
1. Implementation Date
This program officially commences in March 2026 and will be conducted on a monthly basis thereafter.
2. Cleanup Criteria:
Products meeting all of the following conditions will be subject to removal:
- Created≥360 days ago;
- The stock in warehouse(Fulfillment by Jumia) is 0
- No Consignment Orders (COs) created in the past 12 months(Consignment Order, which is created by the seller in the Vendor Center before shipment);
- Zero page views in the past 365 days;
Scope: Product variation level (SKU simple)
3. Why are we doing this?

- Better Traffic Concentration: Our algorithm prioritizes active, high-conversion products, helping your bestsellers get more visibility.
- Lower Operational Costs: Stop spending time maintaining “zombie listings” and focus your energy on detail page optimization and campaign participation.
- Improved Conversion Rates: A clean, well-managed shop builds customer trust and streamlines the purchasing decision process.
4. Seller Self-Check & Recommended Actions:
We strongly recommend that you log in to the Seller Center, check your products via the “Product” module, and take one of the following actions:
- Optimize:Update titles, descriptions, images, and prices to attract more views.
- Restock:If you intend to sell the product, please create a new CO ( Consignment Orders ) and restock accordingly.
- Delist:If you have no sales plans for the product, we suggest manually removing the SKU to keep your shop clean and organized.
5. Purpose and Follow-up:
This is a long-term initiative by Jumia to improve the overall shopping environment and ensure high-quality products receive maximum exposure. We understand this may require adjustments to your shop management and appreciate your support and cooperation.
