New Policy for “Inactive” sellers

Dear Seller,

Effective from May 16, 2025, Jumia will begin identifying shops that have been registered for more than 100 days but have recorded zero sales in the past 90 days as “Inactive” sellers. Please note that this status will not result in your shop being delisted or closed. The platform will send an “Inactive Shop” notification directly to the relevant sellers.

This new policy is designed to encourage sellers to collaborate with JUMIA to revitalize their shops and drive sales growth. Upon receiving the “Inactive Shop” email notification, we encourage you to take proactive measures to generate your first order, such as:

  • Optimizing your product selection;
  • Improving product descriptions and images;
  • Adjusting your pricing strategy;
  • Ensuring sufficient inventory levels;
  • Enhancing your knowledge of Jumia’s operational guidelines.

For more resources and guidance, please visit the Vendor Hub to complete your training.

We kindly ask all sellers to manage their shops in accordance with these new guidelines. We wish you great success in your business!

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,

Jumia Global
