In our ongoing commitment to supporting your growth across African markets, we are pleased to announce the launch of our 45-Day Waived Storage Fee Program, applicable to our fulfillment operations in Nigeria, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal.
Effective Date: This program will take effect on 1 September 2026.
Program Overview: Beginning 1 September 2026, all goods received into our warehouses in the above-mentioned markets will be exempt from storage fees for the first 45 days following the date of inbound receipt.
Eligibility: This program applies to all sellers operating under the Jumia Global Fulfilled by Jumia (FBJ) model in Nigeria, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal. There are no category restrictions, all product lines are eligible.
Important Notes:
- Jumia reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time. Jumia retains final authority over the interpretation of all terms and conditions set forth herein.
- All existing standard policies and terms governing the FBJ business remain in full effect, except where expressly superseded by the provisions of this program.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Which products are eligible for this program?
All products received into our fulfillment warehouses in Nigeria, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal on or after 1 September 2026 will qualify for a full waiver of storage fees for the first 45 days from the date of inbound receipt. No additional eligibility criteria apply.
2. Can the previously announced storage waiver policies — 14 days for existing products and 45 days for new products — be combined with this program?
No, the benefits cannot be stacked. Once this program takes effect, all eligible products, regardless of classification, will be entitled to a maximum of 45 days of free storage. The previous tiered waiver policies will be consolidated under this program and will no longer apply separately.
3. Do sellers need to submit an application to benefit from the storage fee waiver?
No application is required. Jumia’s system will automatically identify all eligible SKUs and apply the waiver accordingly. No action is needed on the seller’s part.
4. If my products were received into the warehouse on 1 August 2026, can they benefit from this program?
Yes, partially. As this program takes effect on 1 September 2026, the extent of the benefit will vary depending on whether the products are classified as new or existing items:
- Existing products: These will have already benefited from 14 days of free storage during August. By 1 September 2026, the storage age will have reached 31 days, leaving 14 days remaining within the 45-day waiver window. Accordingly, storage fees will be waived from 1 September to 14 September 2026.
- New products: These will have already benefited from 31 days of free storage during August. By 1 September 2026, the storage age will equally stand at 31 days, with 14 days remaining within the 45-day waiver window. Storage fees will therefore be waived from 1 September to 14 September 2026.
5. What incentive policies are currently in place for Ghana and Uganda?
- Ghana: New products are eligible for 45 days of free storage, while existing products are entitled to 14 days of free storage.
- Uganda: A separate incentive program is currently in effect. From 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2026, all products received into the Uganda fulfillment warehouse are eligible for a full storage fee waiver for the first 90 days from the date of inbound receipt.
6. When does this program end?
There is currently no scheduled end date for this program. Should any changes be made to its terms or duration, Jumia will provide written notice to all affected sellers at least 30 days in advance.
7. How will the storage fee benefit apply for new sellers who also qualify for the Second Batch New Seller Storage Waiver Program?
The Second Batch New Seller Storage Waiver Program covers the period from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026. For new sellers who qualify under that program, if their products have not yet reached 45 days of storage age upon its expiry on 30 September 2026, they will continue to benefit from the storage fee waiver without interruption until the storage age of those products exceeds 45 days.
8. Why do I sometimes see two separate storage fee entries for the same SKU on my invoice?
This typically occurs when the same SKU has inventory received across multiple inbound shipments on different dates. Jumia’s billing system consolidates storage charges by age bracket:
- Inventory with a storage age of 45 days or fewer is grouped into one line item (this charge will be zero during the program period);
- Inventory with a storage age exceeding 45 days is grouped into a separate line item and charged at the standard rate.
When both age brackets exist simultaneously for the same SKU, two distinct entries will appear on your invoice. This is expected behaviour and does not indicate a billing error.
To review your storage fee records in Vendor Centre, please follow the steps below: Account Statement → Export Transactions → Select Start Date → Select End Date → Select Invoice Status (Paid or Unpaid) → Click Export → The report will enter the Transactions Exports queue → Once the Status shows Completed, click the download icon to retrieve your file.
