FAQ for Inbounding Process

1. Process Overview

  • If there is a problem with listing, seller must raise a claim (RAC) within 30 days from the date of receipt.Otherwise, it will not be accepted.
  • Classification of listing issues: regular & irregular

  • Please open the attached table in the “Jumia Inbound Issue Feedback” email, find the “Recommended Solution” column, and handle it accordingly based on the suggested solutions.

 

  • If the “Need reply this email?” column indicates “Yes”, it means you need to follow the suggested steps and reply with the result within three business days from the date the email was sent. If you do not reply to this email within three business days, your goods will be returned to the warehouse!

2. Solutions for Regular Listing Issues

2.1 Shortage (The actual number of received items is less than the number applied for in the CO)

Sellers only need to be aware of the missing items and the resulting difference in the number of items listed.

2.2 Bad pack (Damaged packaging)

The seller is aware of the damaged packaging and the resulting discrepancy in the listed quantity.

  • Goods eligible for the Bad Pack repackaging service (charged fee) will be processed.
  • Goods ineligible for the Bad Pack repackaging service (charged fee) will be returned to the logistics provider.

2.3 Excess (The actual number of received items is more than the number applied for in the CO)

The seller will create a new CO for the excess items.

2.4 Image-related Issues

Product images (content) must be successfully updated before warehousing can be arranged.

  • If the seller has updated the images, but the backend has not yet synchronized, the seller should try editing the product to trigger synchronization.
  • If the problem persists, please contact Jumia Merchant Manager or RAC for appeals.

2.5 Content issue refers to listing problems related to product content.

Content issues include errors such as wrong image/color/description/brand/size.

  • For products with wrong image/color/description/brand/size, if the correct SKU already exists, please provide the correct SKU and create a new CO to list the product. If the correct SKU does not exist, please create a new SKU and create a new CO to list the product.

2.6 Counterfeit

This product is involved in counterfeiting/inferior goods and cannot be listed in the warehouse.
