Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How is it determined whether a product qualifies for the program?

Within the effective period, products will enjoy free storage fees within 90 days of check-in, and a 50% discount on outbound fees upon shipment.

2. Do sellers need to submit an application to receive the storage and outbound fee discounts?

No application is needed. Jumia will automatically waive the relevant fees for eligible SKUs.

3. Can the storage fee waiver rules for 45 days and 90 days be combined?

No, these two fee waivers cannot be stacked. For example, products eligible for this program will enjoy a combined maximum of 90 days of free storage, rather than 45+90 days.

4. Why do sellers sometimes see two storage fee deduction records for the same SKU on their statement?

This typically occurs because the same SKU has inbound stock records from different dates. In Jumia’s statement, inventory for the same SKU is recorded separately: storage fee charges for stock aged 90 days or less are combined into one line, while charges for stock aged more than 90 days are combined into a separate line. As a result, two deduction records may appear on the statement for these products.Sellers can self-check Jumia’s storage fee collection records via Seller Center (VC), using the following path:

Account Statement >> Export Transactions >> select the desired “Start Date” >> select “End Date” >> select statement status “paid” or “unpaid” >> Export >> the statement enters the Transactions Exports queue >> once “Status” shows “Completed” >> click the “Download” icon.
